A Vast Swine Complex Rises from the Ground, Technology Empowers Agriculture and Boosts Industry
Owner representatives from local government platform companies and operating companies, after comprehensively inspecting the project site, meticulously reviewing engineering documentation, and listening to reports, highly evaluated the project's construction outcomes. They particularly praised Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise's innovations in details of design and construction, disease prevention and control, and environmental protection processes.
Project Overview
As a supporting component of the Chia Tai (Laibin) Million-Hog Whole Industrial Chain Poverty Alleviation Project, the Laibin Sow Farm Project was jointly invested by Guangxi Laibin Xingbin Agricultural Development & Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Laibin Chia Tai Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd. Phase I of the project is located in the picturesque Gukang Village, Chuanshan Village Committee, Taodeng Town. It covers an area of 220 acres with a construction area of approximately 34,280 square meters, comprising 23 supporting buildings of various sizes. The project is planned to maintain an inventory of 6,000 sows annually, providing over 180,000 healthy piglets per year, laying a solid foundation for the stable development of the entire industrial chain. As the saying goes, "Pork and grain secure the world." Sow breeding, as a vital link in the swine industry chain, is crucial for its construction. As the project contractor, Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise thoroughly implemented concepts of high construction standards, innovative process design, high construction efficiency, low cost, and stringent epidemic control. Through scientific management and technological innovation, the enterprise ensured the high-quality delivery of the project.
Scientific Planning
Good design means half the success of a project. From the very beginning, Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise conducted thorough on-site topographic surveys and, leveraging profound construction experience, developed a comprehensive and detailed planning方案 tailored for the project. From the overall layout of the pig houses to the division of various functional areas, from the optimization of breeding workflows to the convenience of personnel operations, every detail was反复 scrutinized and validated, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the entire project.
Quality Engineering
Civil engineering is the cornerstone of a project, where every brick and tile matters to quality. Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise implemented refined whole-process control over construction, strictly aligning every step from material arrival to hidden works acceptance with design requirements, embodying the philosophy of lean construction. In structural design, the project adopted shallow-pit process manure channels and a column-and-beam system with cement slatted floors for support. The external walls use a semi-concrete, semi-steel structure, significantly enhancing the stability and durability of the pig houses while fully aligning with swine growth patterns and the operational flow of breeding personnel. For the steel structure section, a C-purlin square tube truss structure was paired with lightweight anti-corrosion purlins and color steel panel facades, supplemented by PE sealing air membranes and double-layer fiberglass insulation cotton. This effectively improves the thermal insulation performance of the pig houses, providing a comfortable and healthy growth environment for the swine. Furthermore, the project team placed great emphasis on functional details: through repeated testing and optimized design of drainage and waterproofing pipelines, a complete separation of clean and waste channels was achieved, reflecting intensive and human-centric design principles. The pig house flooring was made from specialized materials that are anti-slip, wear-resistant, and easy to clean, enhancing daily cleaning and disinfection efficiency while effectively reducing the risk of slips and injuries for the swine.
Epidemic Prevention and Safety
Facing the challenge of常态化 epidemics such as African Swine Fever (ASF), the project established a rigorous and efficient multi-level biosafety system. In terms of system design, it fully implemented "closed breeding" and "all-in/all-out" management processes, establishing comprehensive disinfection mechanisms covering personnel, vehicles, and materials to achieve closed-loop management of防疫流程. At the technical application level, intelligent monitoring手段 were integrated. Through digital management of personnel, materials, vehicles, and swine herds, direct human-pig contact was greatly reduced, significantly lowering the risk of disease transmission. Sensors widely installed inside the pig houses can provide real-time alerts for abnormal behaviors, greatly enhancing the timeliness of epidemic response.
Green Circular Economy
In response to the nation's high environmental standards, Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise selected environmentally friendly building materials for the pig houses and combined them with advanced environmental protection technologies to comprehensively and effectively treat exhaust gas, wastewater, and waste generated by the farm. Simultaneously, the project planned a circular agriculture model centered on early-stage nitrogen fertilizer, which can convert digester effluent from breeding into high-quality fertilizer. On average, it can produce 96,000 cubic meters of digester effluent fertilizer annually, benefiting over 3,000 acres of surrounding eucalyptus forests and farmland, achieving zero emissions of pollutants, harmless treatment, and resource utilization.
Digital Intelligence Empowerment
Digital intelligence is the core of enhancing modern breeding efficiency. Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise introduced low-cost, multifunctional, and high-precision hardware facilities and software systems for the project, ensuring automated operation of functions such as ventilation, precise feeding, intelligent environmental regulation, and high-pressure washing throughout the farm. The comprehensive application of these technologies significantly提升了 the standardization and refined management level of the breeding process, while effectively reducing labor costs and operational expenses.
Conclusion
The successful completion of the Laibin Sow Farm Project centrally demonstrates Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise's comprehensive strength in engineering construction, technology integration, and project management. Once officially operational, the project will adopt an "company + base + cooperative + farmer" operational model, effectively promoting local agricultural efficiency and increasing农民 incomes, achieving a win-win situation for economic and social benefits. In the future, Chia Tai Electromechanical Enterprise will continue to leverage its solid engineering quality and innovative technological systems to safeguard the high-quality development of the swine industry, contributing to rural revitalization and the rapid advancement of agricultural modernization.
